             Hugh McClinton was born about 1808 in Ballyalgan, Townland, County Down, N. Ireland. Hugh was the
                   fifth child born to Samuel McClinton and Margaret Torney. Hugh came to Canada in the late 1840's with
                   a sister, Elizabeth and three brothers, Samuel, Peter and Robert S. McClinton.  Hugh married  about 1857, to
                   Margaret Faulkner b: March 17, 1826 in N. Ireland. Parents Robert Faulkner and Mary McKibban. After their marriage                 they farmed on 50 acres at the Faulkner land, which had been given by her father, Robert. Lot 30, Con. 8. By 1900
     Margaret had moved to Lot 5 Con. 5 beside her sister, Mary Faulkner McClinton and Hugh's brother, Peter McClinton.
                   By 1900, their eldest son, Robert William was married to his wife, Mary Jane McCord.
             Hugh McClinton died October 22, 1892. Margaret Faulkner McClinton died  in 1905 and they are both buried at  
               St. Andew's Presbyterian Cemetery in Richmond, Ontario.
